Perched above Ridgway, Colorado, Stone Ranch embraces its dramatic setting with sweeping, unobstructed views of the San Juan Mountains. The design is grounded in stone, creating a sense of permanence and connection to the rugged terrain, while expansive glazing frames the ever-changing peaks and skies.
Natural material: stone, timber, and steel are woven together to root the home in its alpine context, balancing durability with warmth. Inside and out, the architecture is defined by large openings that invite light, air, and vistas deep into the living spaces, creating a constant dialogue between shelter and landscape. More than a residence, Stone Ranch is conceived as a mountain retreat that harmonizes with its surroundings, celebrating both the intimacy of home and the grandeur of the Colorado wilderness.
