Carved into a steep, forested hillside above Mountain Village, Rock Skis is a home shaped by its rugged terrain and rare ski-in location. The site—narrow, densely wooded, and bordered by a spring-fed wetland—offered both challenge and opportunity. The design responds with a stepped composition anchored by a grounded stone base, rising upward into wood and glass volumes that open to filtered light and views through the trees. A lower-level garage and entry are tucked into the slope, while the main living spaces sit just above, unfolding toward the ridge.
