Sundance is a mountainside home that unfolds from bridge to ridge—where stepped forms, forest views, and weathered materials create a quiet retreat grounded in the slope.
Anchored on a steep wooded slope above Mountain Village, Sundance is a home designed to follow the terrain while opening fully to ridge and mountain views.
The journey begins across a simple bridge and through a courtyard entry that introduces the rhythm of stone, wood, and steel—materials chosen to weather gently into the forested site.
A central living volume sits at the heart of the home, bookended by a bunkroom and quiet bedroom wing, while guest spaces are tucked below.
The form steps naturally with the slope, creating layered outdoor terraces and long view corridors through the trees.
Set within a tight envelope, every move is measured—resulting in a home that feels both rooted and expansive, grounded in the land it inhabits.
