A contemporary mountain home that honors Telluride’s vernacular roots while embracing the slope, the views, and a refined simplicity.
Perched above Telluride in the Shadow Lane neighborhood, this home was designed to integrate naturally into the slope while embracing wide-open views of the valley below. A low-profile gable roof echoes the vernacular tradition of Telluride’s mining past, while a simple material palette of vertical wood siding and stone reinforces its connection to place.
Subtle details—like the recessed entry, deep overhangs, and integrated lighting—create a refined, contemporary feel that remains respectful of the surrounding context. The result is a home that feels both grounded and quietly elevated, honoring Telluride’s past while pointing toward its future.
