Cabin 7 is a Mountain Village retreat shaped by the contours of its site, where stone, timber, and steel create a quiet dialogue between architecture and the surrounding landscape.
Following the natural movement of the land, the residence settles into its setting rather than standing apart from it. Receding corners soften the building’s presence, while a cascading timbered gable gives form to the architecture as it moves with the terrain. Stone anchors the home to the ground, balanced by timber and steel elements that reinterpret the familiar mountain vernacular through a contemporary lens.
Throughout, the architecture is guided by restraint and a close reading of place. Each material, proportion, and transition responds to the character of Mountain Village, allowing the home to feel both rooted and open to its surroundings. The result is an architecture that belongs to the landscape defined not by contrast, but by the relationship it creates with the land around it.
